Don’t be Afraid of the Dark – with Bournemouth University

15th November 2019

The value and benefits of our dark skies were explored at a recent event with Bournemouth University. Talks on dark skies and health, nature, tourism as well as a fascinating talk on ‘starscape archaeology’ were on the agenda.

Children from Dinton Village School had a trip in a planetarium with Bob Mizon from the Commission for Dark Skies and they kindly sent us these fabulous posters about light pollution. The event came a few weeks before the designation of Cranborne Chase National Landscape as an International Dark Sky Reserve.
